From
Lea & Max, ages 8 and 6

We live in Asa Sweden, right by the sea. We celebrate
midsummer in July. Most kids here don't go to church. On Sundays, our
family lights a chalice. We sing songs, talk about important things and
laugh and dance. There are lots of old places and things around us and
we have lots of friends here.

I
live in Victoria, BC Canada. We celebrate Thanksgiving in October instead
of November and we celebrate Boxing Day on December 26. When people ask
me about my religion, I say our religion teaches respect for people and
respect for other religions. I would like to tell kids in the United States
that Canada is bigger than you think and there are people there whose
feelings get hurt when you make jokes about Canada.

I
live in Norris Point, Newfoundland Canada. It's a small town with lots
of nice people. It's really cold in the winter and we all play ice hockey—even
I do and I'm a girl. We like to play with no hitting. Most people are
Catholic and have never heard of Unitarianism. I would like to have an
e-mail pal from another country cause I love e-mailing.

Arie, age 7½
My
sister and I live in St. Gallen, Switzerland. All kids come home for lunch.
It's the main meal of the day and many fathers come home too. On some
afternoons I have school until 4:15. All kids take religion in school.
I'm in the Protestant class. Sometimes we talk about the war in Iraq.
We also talk about Jesus and the Bible. I know it's important to have
religion and to listen to different people. I like hiking in the mountains.
