crafts and me! surprise crackers!
Make lots of Surprise Crackers filled with treats for your class, troop, or team.

Materials:
  • colored tissue or wrapping paper
  • yarn or ribbon
  • empty cardboard tube (toilet paper roll or paper towel roll cut in half)
  • treats (candy, stickers, small erasers, small toys)
  • scissors
  • glue stick or tape

Directions:

1. Cut a piece of colored paper that is wide enough to wrap around the tube and about 6 inches (15cm) longer than the tube. Cut two pieces of yarn or ribbon about 12" (30cm) long.

crackers2. Place the cardboard tube in the middle of one of the long edges of the paper (see picture). Tape or glue paper to tube.

3. Make 1-inch-long cuts into the short sides of the paper for fringe.

4. Roll the paper around the tube and secure it with a glue stick or tape.

5. Tie a piece of yarn or ribbon close to one end of the tube. Now fill the tube with treats! Tie the other piece of yarn near the other end of the tube. Now get cracking!
