Resources for the Winter Holidays
December 17, 2002
As the holidays approach, we offer you three links for seasonal reading.
The first, from CLF's Month of Sundays collection, is a sermon called
"The Redemption of Ebenezer Scrooge" excerpted from A Biblical
Humanist Companion, written by the Rev. Dr. John H. Nichols. Did
you know Dickens was Unitarian?

This is an entire service outline; scroll down to get to the sermon.
And note the discussion questions at the end.
The second, from the UUA Worship Web, is a solstice meditation by Rev.
Meg Barnhouse that places winter's darkness in perspective, "A
Time for Darkness".
And last, the Rev. William G. Sinkford, President of the Unitarian Universalist
Association, has sent a holiday message to all UUs. The text of his
message may be read at http://www.uua.org/president/021212.html
Enjoy!
