February 17, 2004
Sarah Gibb is our membership coordinator in the Boston headquarters.
She offers us this statistical look at the membership of our
church. Thanks, Sarah!
The Church of the Larger Fellowship is the largest congregation
in the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations.
Our members live all over the world, and interact with our
Boston-based church staff by mail, phone, and e-mail. Here
are some of the latest statistics on who our members are:
3072 Adults
773 Children and Youth
716 of our adult members are also members of local congregations.
Additionally, 180 are ordained ministers, many of whom are
serving congregations and maintain a membership with CLF as
a way of being a member of a church other than the one they're
employed by. Some of this number are ordained as ministers
of religious education.
143 serve UU congregations in the following professional
roles:
29 Paid Directors of Religious Education
65 Volunteer Directors of Religious Education
18 Music Directors
31 Church Administrators
665 of our adult members live in countries other than the
US, with an additional 267 living on islands that are US territories
(such as Guam) and/or serving in the US Military.
Although CLF is known for its special outreach to non-mobile
elderly adults and young adults in college, the largest group
of CLF's members is between the ages of 46 and 65. CLF Web References Home
