2005 Report of the Intern Minister
Greetings. The year has flown by and with only three months
left as intern minister here at CLF, I am already beginning
to miss this place.
When I applied for the internship at CLF one of my greatest
desires was to help the congregation find a way to use technology
and the Internet to reach out to more people. With the approval
of the Church of the Younger Fellowship Memorandum of Agreement
and budget by the Board at the conference call in February,
the possibility of this happening became a reality. As I said
in an email to the board after that meeting, I believe that
it may be “a leap of faith,” but I’m grateful
that the staff and board are willing to take it on in the
name of the future of CLF.
My other responsibilities around CLF regarding Quest,
organizing Month of Sunday services, preaching in pulpits
around the district, providing pastoral care to CLF members
via the phone, email and mail, working with Lorraine and other
staff members on electronic communication issues and needs,
monitoring the CLF-l listserv and exploring ways to make Quest
more accessible via the Internet are all going well. I still
hope to meet with Kathy Reis to see if I can assist in writing
a grant to expand prison outreach to women.
I have enjoyed getting to know all of you throughout the
process of participating in your meetings, ECC meetings and
CYF meetings. You are all caring and gracious people and I
look forward to our paths crossing in the future.
If you have any questions for me about the work I have been
doing here at CLF, I will be very happy to answer them.
Thank you for being a teaching congregation and committing
the funding to this internship. I have enjoyed it.
