2004 Report of the Church-on-Loan Coordinator
This year at CLF, I have been working 6 – 8 hours a
week on the Church-on-Loan and Church OnLine programs. Kasey
Melski and I worked together to create the Church OnLine website
– I provided the content and she created the site. This
involved getting 80 of our Month of Sundays services up onto
a Sundays OnLine page – a process that began with scanning,
editing and updating the services and is still going on now
with the collection of keywords from each sermon to be used
in a searchable index on the site.
I have also been working on the promotion of both Church-on-Loan
and Church OnLine. With assistance from the Membership Coordinator,
Sarah Gibb, I recently completed a mailing to over 300 small
congregations. The mailing included a letter about what Church-on-Loan
has to offer small groups and the new Church-on-Loan brochure
– updated to include information about Church OnLine.
Currently in the works is a promotional letter to international
groups and congregations about Church OnLine. I hope our PR
efforts will lead to increased membership in these programs,
and more fulfilling worship for the many small UU groups and
congregations around the globe.
