Curriculum for a Quarter
Curriculum for a Quarter is an arrangement of items that
are on the CLF web site by themes and age groupings for 10
week periods, such as the quarter of a year (October-December,
January-March, April-June, and July-September.) The additional
3 weeks in a quarter can be used for celebrations in that
timeframe, or for other activities developed by the family
or group. The Broad themes generally follow those designated
for the UUA Lifespan Faith Development curriculum:
For each theme, there is material for the five age groupings:
- 3-5 years, Preschool-Kindergarten
- 6-10 years. Grades 1-5
- 11-13 years, Grades 6-8
- 14-18 years, Grades 9-12
- Adult
All of the material for each session is linked on the web
site. The format of the sessions vary, because the original
formats varied. The material is usually as it appeared in
its original from on the site, in Between
Sundays or in uu&me!,
Quest “REsources,”
for example. Some new sessions have been created specifically
for the Curriculum for a Quarter. All of the sessions can
be available in hard copy for CLF members.
