Mardi Gras (Feb. 28th)
KidTalk: Connecting Kids to Unitarian Universalism and Each Other

Mardi Gras, or Carnival (Carnaval in Brazil ) is a big, blow-out celebration that comes before the serious season of Lent. Before giving things up for Lent, the 40 days leading up to Easter, Mardi Gras offers people a chance to celebrate with costumes, parades, floats and a wild good time. In some places (like New Orleans, USA or Rio de Janeiro, Brasil) people might work all year coming up with marvelous costumes and masks.
