Making a Planned Gift to the CLF
You can help to ensure the future of CLF by making a planned
gift. And, you may benefit from doing this now! If you've been a long time member, providing for the CLF in your will allows you to create a lasting legacy.
The Eliot / Scott Fund
In 1944, Frederick May Eliot envisioned "a church
in the fullest sense of the word, a Unitarian church which
will serve isolated religious liberals wherever they might
live," and Clinton Lee Scott established a Universalist
Church of the Larger Fellowship in 1947. In 1972, the Board
of Directors of CLF honored Frederick May Eliot and Clinton
Lee Scott with the following resolution:
"The
Frederick May Eliot-Clinton Lee Scott CLF Endowment Fund is
hereby established by the Church of the Larger Fellowship
Unitarian Universalist, to commemorate and honor the lives
and works of these two great men who with foresight and wisdom
developed the Church of the Larger Fellowship."
Gifts You Can Make to Ensure the Future of CLF
CLF’s planned-giving program enables potential donors
to take advantage of available philanthropic techniques while
providing financial support to the CLF.
CLF encourages contributions of cash, personal property,
and real property, either as outright gifts or through deferred
gift vehicles. There are many techniques which can be used,
benefitting both the donor and the CLF. Click
here for details.
Planned Giving Committee
The Board of Trustees has established a Planned Giving Committee
to assist the Board in recommending a policy
regarding plannd gifts, identifying and cultivating potential
donors, soliciting gifts, and monitoring the administration
of the gifts.
