CLF Community Gathering at The Mountain

The UU Church of the Larger Fellowship and The Mountain proudly report the first-ever CLF Community Gathering, August 29 - September 1, 2003. This very special "congregational retreat" was just for you, CLF members! Our celebration included informal conversations with special guests Lorraine Dennis and Laurel Amabile, all noted UUs and active in CLF. We also experienced the natural glory of The Mountain, with its incredible vistas and ancient forests. We played, worshiped, sang, spoke, and socialized together. Enjoy our pictures of what we hope will be an Annual CLF Gathering!

Special Guests
Lorraine Dennis, CLF Administrator, is a long-time UU who has served on many committees at her home church in Reading, Massachusetts. She loves to sing, make new friends, and has a hard time controlling her enthusiasm for CLF. Lorraine and her husband, Steve, are raising their two kids (now ages 17 and 21) as UUs.
Laurel Amabile, of Asheville, North Carolina, is on the staff of The Mountain's Learning Center for Leadership, and also serves as UUA Program Consultant for the Thomas Jefferson District. She is a member of the CLF Board.
Shelley Jackson Denham has served on The Mountain staff since 1989. She is a well-known UU musician and has been a member of CLF for years.
